Dies your chain cover have the square or angled front lower lip?Got my outer dog for the 2100 today. It matches up perfect. Just got grind that center hole out
Bead blast it. Here's the cylinder on the 930 I'm building.Anybody have any luck getting burnt on Gunk off the outside of a cylinder? I even tried the typhoon parts washer at work.
It's not a matter of need..... When I think 2100 it makes me think of a rat rod. Pretty cool saws. Probly will get used more than what I thought.I don't know if you really need a set of double dogs and a K and N filter .It's a west coast thing, thick bark but then again a 2100 is a west coast saw .When in Rome -----
Might not just be a west coast thing. Dad had troubles with his 2100s freezing up in extremely cold temps or light powder snow. Foam filters are faster to change and shake out, easier to carry spares. He said some guys ran em. He stuffed pieces of wool sock under the air filter cover which wicked moisture away from the filter. He also ran double dogs, and they cut lots of little Alberta pecker poles. The mill wanted the notch on the stump, and double dogs allowed him to reposition his body a lot less to complete the task at hand if the tree was 10" or smaller he wouldn't notch it, just run the saw one handed using the dogs and push it over with the other. This backfired on him one day though when his bar tip hit a willow and kicked. He said he could have lost a leg that day. Blocking the governor and no notch falling was when they made their big money, paid by the butt.I don't know if you really need a set of double dogs and a K and N filter .It's a west coast thing, thick bark but then again a 2100 is a west coast saw .When in Rome -----

My cover was cracked in a few places anyway. I don't like leaving the carb box openThey have character don't they!
I am thinking of chopping my top cover for the K&N like yours.
I know they are hard to get but its what I want to do!
*heavy sigh*
Farmers I was dropping some trees for had one for sale. He had it from new and it had done seriously little work and in great shape. I ran it to drop a tree too large for my saws. So smooth, lovely low-down torque. Loved it. They needed some money would let it go for, IIRC NZ$550 and I just didn't have the cash at that time so alerted an Ozzy anotherMothaBrotha and he paid and I sent it off to him. He rubs my nose in it at every chance he can get ;-)
