And the one piece coil saws had 2 different cranks and flywheels. One with a cast key and one without, if I remember correctly you cannot interchange flywheels. I believe the crank is a larger diameter on the one with a separate key.

What do you guys think about a thread for parts swapping on just this chassis?

Here's how you can mount a 372 wrap
To a 268/272IMG_20210616_192721.jpg
This bottom fastener is in the correct location you just have to add the second hole.
And not use the other 2 locations
IMG_20210616_192703.jpg
You just have to bend the down tube to fit the recess
Both fasteners line up with the existing holes
I relieved the bottom corner to make it easier to fit.IMG_20210616_195820.jpg

The brake flag is too tight
I'll try some different versions.

I think your way would be stronger unless you welded the pieces together on the way that guy did his.

Plenty of clearance for bar nuts and top cover.

I have a 162 parts saw...well, case and tank...how much interchanges (or doesn’t) with the rest of the saws in the series? Seems like most should.

Yup most stuff does. It's close family with a Jonny 630 for a top end.

I might have bought it if I had seen in time and had a saw nice enough to put it on, ha!

What is the best way to fix egged out top cover screw holes? I'm looking at my 2 series projects and all the crankcases have at least one hole that needs to be repaired.
