Here For The Long Haul!
Hipa sent me a couple of loops of chain to try out for free, it's a little dull out of the box and I think it needs sharpened and the rakers taken down a bit before you use it.
https://www.hipastore.com/ they also sell on Amazon.I've never heard of it. Do they have a website?

Thanks. I guess I have heard of their carbs. I just didn't associate them with chains. Did they send free chains with an order or something?https://www.hipastore.com/ they also sell on Amazon.

I'll let you know after I use it a bit, It did stretch out a bit after just four cuts.I’d be curious if it gets super floppy Like if you hold the loop sideways after say a quarter of life.
had some super cheap chain do that to me to the point it just wouldn’t stay on the bar.
maybe good stuff though. Keep us updated
How did it feel sharpening it? Soft, hard, similar to Oregon? I got a cheap chain from eBay once and the cutters are so hard a file won't touch them.

It's funny the box says Kickback - safety chain and then has a warning about kickback.
I don't have a grinder so I haven't messed with that one anymore. It looked like a decent chain but was dull when I got it so I tried to sharpen it and couldn't.@ammoaddict man I’ve ran into some of that chain too. THe one I tossed in the trash after it started jumping off the bar way too easy was that way
I’ve had some Oregon and Carlton come that way too
I pop them on the little harbor frieght grinder I have and seems like after I cut that first little bit off every chain I’ve had can be filed again
