It took about 2 weeks from USA to Sweden. Now problems on the way. But I have to pay import tax in Sweden.
When you present an invoice with tax already paid, item should be exempted from the Schengen import duties, unless it is a private sale.

USA is not Schengen, customs and most likely taxes apply!

Certainly does for me in Croatia.

I usually bye 100 fot rolls, to get better price, but this was a test. If the chain was good.
Since when do Swedes use measurements in feet? :thinking:

If you bye products in the European union, it is tax free. I think I payd 20 dollars for the 3-pack of chains.
That is correct.

When our good friend Dan @AlfA01 sent me some goodies from the land of the Olives, just the classical freight fee applied.

Likewise if I sent you some double bevel files, no import duties to your land.

Just interesting to trade ideas, when I buy something outside of EU, brand new with tax already paid, my products were tax exempt, tax already paid, just the customs processing fee, about 5€.

I'm waiting to see how the links hold up when the chain is nearing end-of-life--that seems to be a weak link in Chinese chains, which isn't so critical as from what I've seen people often toss them before they get near the wear indicator.

On OPE we have a bunch of chain misers, so will the chain tend to break or will it hold together?

3 out of 5 TriLink loops I had broke before "end of life".
Not a single Oregon/Dolmar loop did.
Nor did Carlton & the one Windsor I have.
3/8" , full & semi chisel.

An old stock Oregon .404" .050" broke on me though.

I’ll do my best to thrash a 24” loop before it’s too hot this summer.

We had 32°C last Saturday, I do not look forward to this years summer!

Huge rain storm pummeling the house/roof right now, temps still above 20°C.

Dang, I knew I wasn't feeling 100% grown up. Now I know why
.050" = 1.3mm
.058" = 1.5mm
.063" = 1.6mm

Although as a metal worker I believe that every added tenth millimeter of steel ads strength , the chain gauge mess is pure manufacturer marketing nonsense.

Yes, the difference between .050" and .063" is noticeable, but it is not necessarily significant depending on the intended application.
