It's either the starter drive bouncing off the flex plate or a cracked flex plate in my opinion.
Remove the starter and see if the drive just moves out when you tip the starter down.

I ended up basically trading an aftermarket block for some brand new AFR‘s, they look nice. The block was a lot more than I needed. I it was pretty racy no oil filter boss and all main caps were 4 bolt with a raised cam and spread pan rails, these head will be more useful! Comp cnc ported
