It’s a Che-vy noise!!

It's either the starter drive bouncing off the flex plate or a cracked flex plate in my opinion.
Remove the starter and see if the drive just moves out when you tip the starter down.

Hmm. Without seeing the vid, just the noise would have had me wanting to check a radiator fan~water pump.

I ended up basically trading an aftermarket block for some brand new AFR‘s, they look nice. The block was a lot more than I needed. I it was pretty racy no oil filter boss and all main caps were 4 bolt with a raised cam and spread pan rails, these head will be more useful! Comp cnc ported

The Chevy noise was the starter

A balmy 1 degree positive, swapped in a new water pump in the 7.3 powerstroke, degas bottle, degas bottle hose, thermostat, thermostat housing and lower radiator housing. Now it's 23 below zero, so dodged that bullet!

I REALLY like the Flowkooler, machined/anodized impeller designs. This is my 3rd flowkooler pump. Have them for my vortec 350 and 292 chevy. Castings are flawless! Castings are by USmotorworks in Santa Fe Springs, CA

I did not like how much corrosion formed on the old water pump gasket surfaces. So lightly sanded front engine cover, cleaned everything with alcohol and dressed the gasket with permatex permashield.

I've always thought Lucas products are way overpriced for what they are. Their "oil stabilizer" is probably just GL-1 spec 140 weight gear oil at 4x the normal price. To be fair, it actually works great for that purpose.

I have used is in my old s10, did a lot of mpg testing with it. It worked the best of all the things I tried, it would pick up 1-3 mpg on average, a friend gave me a half case when he got a diesel
