How old is that info? I ask because I can't find a single mention of using a certified oil in the RedMax warranty info posted on their website for 2024 or 2025. I also looked through the owner's manual for an EBZ9000 and this all I could find in relation to oil:

Two-stroke oil• For best results and performance use RedMaxtwo-stroke oil, which is specially formulated forour two-stroke engines.• If RedMax two-stroke oil is not available, usea different two-stroke oil of good quality that isformulated for air-cooled engines. Consult yourservicing dealer when you select an oil.• Do not use two-stroke oil for water-cooledoutboard engines, also referred to as outboardoil.• Do not use oil intended for four-stroke engines.

I guess the idea/assumption is that the dealer would only advise purchasing a properly rated oil? Not trying to argue--just trying to get at the relevant facts as much as possible.

I would think for the vast majority reading that label it would have little difference.

Reason being is most people would read it as use Red Max at 50:1 or void your warranty, the rest being mumbo jumbo which most no one is going to comprehend or investigate which other oils meet those specs.

Both Stihl and Husqvarna use their extended warranty to further oil and premix sales by requiring one or the other at time of saw purchase, warranty extension is greater using the premix fuel which not surprising the higher profit margins, nowhere in the warranty does it state that use of their product is required but only that it must be purchased at time of sale leading most to think its use is required to keep the extended warranty.

PS I purchase the Husqvarna premix fuel with new saw purchases least expensive 5yr warranty option and save it should I have a warranty claim, meanwhile I run the same Saber 50:1 mix that I have been using for the last 30+ years.
Should I have a warranty claim I can still fill the saw with the premix fuel and it would be on Husqvarna to prove that I did not use it all along, yes I get the issue of residual oils in the crank etc etc but that is a Husqvarna issue as I have receipts that prove I purchased said required fuels.
If I know a new saw is going straight out for port work I skip the extended warranty and just use the 50:1 Saber when I get the saw back.

PSS perhaps I should skip the Husqvarna Stihl extended warranties all together as thinking back I have not had any oil related issues in 30+ years of running Saber at 50:1.

What the sheet says is to use their oil or one meeting JASO FD. If not warranty is void. So using something like Dominator voids your warranty.
If Saber works for you roll with it. Although if I was using Amsoil I would go with Dominator.

Okay, I'll try to find a "tuning sheet". I don't have a 9000 I just downloaded the manual PDF. No RedMax products are sold anywhere near me, and it's a rare day I see a blower around here that isn't a Stihl.

Edit: Some older manuals under the "Fuel Handling" section do list the JASO FD as required and then other manuals make no mention of it. I dunno.

I can sort of understand why they would theoretically reward the customer for using their pre-mix. I once asked my local small engine repair & Stihl dealer how much of their repair business was just dealing with problems from pump gas left sitting in machines too long and they said at least 25-30%. One of my clients has a bunch of saws and he only buys Moto-Mix, which is good because some of them sit "forever" with fuel in them but they always start up.

Canned fuel, not premix.
Canned fuel is what you buy in the store. In a can.
Pre-mix is mixing your own in your can with whatever oil and ratio you want. As opposed to oil injection where you dump your gas and oil into two separate containers and the oil injection system does the rest itself.

The 9000 wouldn't have a tuning sheet because its Autotune.
In case you dont know some Husky stuff is Redmax.
