Ya dont know what to tell ya. Most guys who mix that much +5gal at a time have their gas jug's at central location or all on the trailer. So the bottle just lives there and has a cap so no leaks.

Only other way to cheat is to have a dedicated funnel. . . .
Put your finger over the bottom and fill it with 20oz and burn a mark in the plastic where that is. Then when you mix your gas and use the funnel oil in first you got your measurement done and the gas washes the funnel

at 32:1 with dominator I can notice my saws running differently upon initial start up while still on the choke, the saws maintiain a little bit higher RPM, run smoother and don't have as bad of a missfire, if thats what you wanna call it.
I switched from HP2 to Dominator (both @ 32:1). I noticed the same thing, I thought it was all in my head. It's even more noticeable in colder temps.

Eggshooter was just starting to notice and share small details like this with his testing when things went to hell in a handbag and it all went into private convo instead of the open forum.

Looking at the data sheet for each Id think that :
-Dominator maintains a higher octane when mixed along with the above mentioned corrosion inhibitors
-Saber looks to be more for working and equipment because of the fuel stabilizers. I imagine Amsoil is assuming fuel maybe be left in the tank long term. There are octane boosters/maintainers in it as well just not as many as Dominator. Mixing average 2stroke oil with gas always drops the octane a bit.
VIA CHATGPT.......take those mix ratios with a grain of salt

FeatureDominatorSaber
Target ApplicationRacing/high-performance enginesGeneral purpose & everyday tools
Mix Ratio~50:1 (richer) AMSOIL~100:1 (leaner, more economical) Performance Oil Technology
Protection LevelVery high (film strength, anti-wear) AMSOILExcellent for everyday use The Best Oil
Heat HandlingExcellent in extreme heat/RPMs AMSOILGood, but geared toward normal operating conditions The Best Oil
Cleaner Burning / SmokeGood, but focus is protectionVery good — low smoke/odor Best Oil Group
Cost EfficiencyHigher cost per gallon of mixLower cost per gallon of mix Performance Oil Tech

IMO In the end Dom is overkill unless you can get it as cheap as Saber.
What would the data sheet look like if the Saber and Dominator were both mixed at the same 50:1 ratio?

I hear about everyone running Dominator at 32:1

Having run Saber at 50:1 which would be twice the recommended 100:1 am I running the Saber at an equivalent of Dominator 25:1?
Could one then also theorize that I may be 8% gooder than running Dominator at 32:1?:meparto:
That is the way I have somewhat rationalized it in my peabrain which has been working for the last 30+ years of running the Saber at 50:1:biggrin:

Is it not possible to put less gas than 2.5 or 5 gallons in said cans?

Almost anything is possible if you try.

But when I go get gas there is usually 5 trucks, a chipper, 2 machines and multiple gas cans being filled with 2 stroke, some with straight gas and some with Diesel. Standing there and doing math with a gas can isn't really what I'm interested in.

I ran saber at 40:1. Dominator at 25:1 would be fine.

I use this, but I don't go through near as much gas as you:

I simply did the math once ahead of time and use the same mix every time there after and have separated cans for 2stroke gas, I get it though as we only contend with 3 trucks two diesel and one gas. diesel chipper, diesel mini skid, and a gasser lift plus the associated spare fuel cans of diesel, straight gas and mixed gas. I have also heard that it is not wise to fill your DEF tank with diesel or the diesel tank with DEF as it causes all kind of 🤑 problems something I have not experienced thus far.
