3.2mm, for 1/4" pitch chain.
When I used it I thought I'd break the file in half with every stroke.
That file will create a Micro-C cutter profile.

Since I haven't had any luck in the classifieds figured I post it here. Looking for someone to square grind some picco chain if that's something you'd be interested in going let me know. Thanks

Oregon 73DX. I'm picking up a few different 3/8 chains to test and this has a really nice factory grind for a semi

3 different 3/8, 058 semi chisel chains. Left to right
Stihl 35RM
Husqvarna S85
Oregon 73DX.
I find it interesting that they are all trying to achieve the same thing but go about it in different ways.

That Husqvarna cutter looks good, kinda like a full/semi chisel hybrid.

Cropped.

IMG_6036.jpegIMG_6035.jpegIMG_6034.jpegGround this with a CBN wheel that was made to my specs. (angles). 8” wheel.
Very little material removed (fast) no dressing of wheel (faster) and I didn’t nick the tie straps even once. I like this. I will move my 6” wheel over to the RS2. It’ll probably run fine with the Sylvey’s smaller motor.

Let us know how it cuts,
Like a demon. Ran 28” bar with the 064. Really loads the 064 up nice and makes no dust. Just fat chips. I’m getting spoiled because I ground that chain in 15 mins (about). These square ground cutters hold up so well that I don’t sharpen many chains. I’m not a pro, so I don’t cut like one. I’d be interested to know how the pros feel about it though.
I’m done. I have all the answers I need (for now). Not ready to sell service yet, but I finally feel pretty confident meeting my own needs when it comes to sharpening chains.

IMG_6042.jpegIMG_6043.jpegIMG_6044.jpegIMG_6045.jpegHere are a few more pics taken after running it. It’s an aggressive chain, self feeding and seems to cut very fast. I wonder how fast it will wear. The chains I’ve ground up to now haven’t been as aggressive (based on side plate angle) and they seem to last forever. We’ll see.

Ever look at a new chain and wonder what they were thinking? Here's a Stihl RS and I don't know if it's a mistake or something they do on purpose but every cutter on that side has this. The other side does not.

If anyone one cares, early days of testing these and I added 1 more to the mix.

I'm sick of swapping chains already (why did I use a 288 clone??) but I'll make a post in a week or so of how it works out in the end. Massive difference in vibration and feel between them
