Meh, IMO the antivibe on these is no where near the 3xx-4xx series saws. I have my dads ol' 50 and my boy has a 55. Get the job done reliably, yes.The best VALUE in the 50cc class is the Husky 51 or 55. Pick up a non runner for $25 that just needs fuel system rehab.
Yup.I can see me doing a 346XP for Anthony soon.

Not ported, but i have used both standard. Nothing much in it i felt .I just don't use this class saw much I really think I'd like a 357xp masterminded which is 60cc class but may be just the ticket for a quick revving lightweight saw that has the torque in the cut that I like. I do wonder how a 346xp ne would run though.....
Anyone have a good comparison of the 346xp ne ported vs 550xp ported which has more grunt?
Stock the 550 is on top. Ported the 346 is on top.I do wonder how a 346xp ne would run though.....

Didn't think it was really an issue of the 550 vs the 346 I figured it is really just an issue of the 50cc size class none of them are going to be torque monsters they just don't have the displacement. Going from 50cc to 60cc is a 20% increase in displacement. I just like the 60cc class I guess, there light enough for me and have enough torque in the cut and still have good throttle response and turn a lot of rpms so they still limb great.
