That’s what I’m thinking, David is in the unique position to make the ultimate splitting maul. He’s got some of the worst splitting wood on the planet, he’s been researching the hell out of the subject and he owns a machine shop. Look for the “Wybie Whopper” on shelves near you soon.

There is no replacement for displacement.

I’ve got both the 6# and 8# on order. Hickory handles will get a quick sanding and then a couple of coats of BLO

I was gonna drop the top on it and winch the logs up but opted for big flatbed truck and forklift. Would have been too much time and trips winching.

The Mann Edge Tool Co. in the middle has the magic balance. Head weighs 2lbs exactly. On a ultra thin 28". Prolly do 95% of the work a 2.25lb boy's axe will (on the right) with less weight. I'm just setting these heads for now.
