What part of WI do you hail from? I was born & raised in WI, Waukesha county area. I spent ten years working all over southern WI for a drywall company based in Waukesha. Then one day I got tired of it, quit my job, packed up, and moved out to Colorado, about 22 years ago.

You can see the wavy interlocking grain in the noodled piece in the background

If you milled some, sent it off to be stabilized, you could proll get $30/pr. for two 3/8" thick x 1.5" wide x 5" long peices for knife handles.
Ebay would eat em up with grain like that.

Actually I originate from Rochester, New York. But i've been a Wisconsinite for about 30 years. Now I hail from a small town in western Racone county called Raymond.

We worked around Racine a ton. We did a huge house between Oak Creek & Caledonia, at the time (1992 or 1993) it was supposed to be the largest single family home in WI, it was on a large chunk of land, gated key code to get in & out of the compound. Gold fish pond in the entry way of the house. Full size private theater. There was a hidden room off the library. It was a cool house.

@wap13 I see it listed anywhere from 4.5 to 8lbs, mostly 6. I bet it’s a 6lb head and 2lb handle. I bet it will work well!

GD petrified desert wood , lol

So this stuff has been down in logs for approx 20 years. I cut it into rounds a couple years ago. Actually splits relatively easy. I don’t have to go full power on every swing like usual.
