It's more of a cloth tape so it is grippy not smooth like electrical.is hockey stick tape just like electrical tape?

its funny how different profile axes and choppers work. my 5lb wedge pounder works really well on lots of different wood and some it is laughableInteresting experience this weekend. Was in the mountains with my splitters going after Cedar. The little Aussie cyclone 6lb that works so well in Euc did not work well in big soft cedar rounds. With the wide angle and narrow bit, the cedar would just absorb the maul. Regular US and Euro mauls worked, as well as axes…first time I’ve split anything that could be split with axes.
