OK Matt, I might be confusing the way intake timing is measured... When rotating the crankshaft in the direction of normal operation from BDC, the intake begins to crack open at 75 deg after BDC... Is this correct or am I doing it wrong?? If I am correct, 75 deg would be earlier and more duration than 82?

Intake is stated as BTDC not ABDC. For instance, say your intake opens @290° ATDC. 360° - 290° = 70° BTDC. Make sense Joe?

If he's going to cut the base you don't want to drop the intake much more.

This saw ...as it sits is $750. it is already sold. ported, decked, muff modded, lots of new parts, 32" GB bar and full comp chain. heated handles added, no carb element in the circuit. couldn't believe it, the heated handles do work.

This saw siezed in 10 minutes.

Pressure test is good with new piston...but I have a new issue.... after 1 tank...bar oil refilled....bar oil is coffee with milk brown. Opaque....ish. wtf????

Can there be a leak from the crankcase into the oil reservoir??

That's weird Matt! If so it should not pass pressure and vac test though????
