Glad to see some good .325 coming out. LGX .325 was very slow. Even with the rakers filed down, in the cut, it felt choked up in chips on a ported 50 cc saw. Then to get a loop of.325 rs pro, it was hard to find and expensive to ship to Alaska.

I eventually quit 50 cc saws, and gave them to a 16 yr old kid that was selling firewood all summer.

Nowadays I run nothing but 60 cc and up. 3/8 EXL on everything. $20 per 84 dl loop, free shipping. Lightening fast per dollar.

Depends on what you're cutting. 70cc saws with full chisel were my mainstay for years. This year, I'm cutting all dirty maple tops and my big saw is collecting dust while my 50cc saw with sp33g is getting all the glory.

Better rakers on the pro, nice
I like the profile of them, but not the lack of meat underneath. Seems like it would be prone to bending or breaking, especially if it slams into a rock or a really hard knot.

Haven't seen it or tried it.

But I've bent cutters and depth gauges before hitting hard objects/rocks embedded in wood with more surface area than that.

I could be off base. Might be a non-issue.

I knock them dow

I take the pedestal grinder to mine right out of the box. Takes about 15 minutes or a half a beer if you're counting for an 80dl chain.

Do you see much benefit from doing it? I have tried a few times before and couldn't measure a real difference between them after removing the humps. It was always with in a few percent, margin of error type of change.

I just gave up and leave them on all the 325. Plunge cutting is fine because I run the larger nose radius bars

Makes it a lot easier to file the rakers.

Does it have a street name?

Being a semi-brown man, I shall take it upon myself to give it an unforgettable name. This matters, if it will survive. Especially prison.

Opinions on the current best lo-pro 3/8, .050?
I’m not impressed with the Ore 91

I

I ordered a loop of S83 to experiment with on my 462. The United Sates Postal Service sent it on a 3 week journey around the country before it finally arrived.

I run some of the S85 and it's a nice semi chisel chain. Probably the best 3/8 semi available currently, holds an edge well, very low vibration and it is nice to file.

The initial cut speed is between 12-16% slower than C85 for me but the cross over point happens fairly quickly in the stuff I cut. After a tank they are very close, 2 tanks and it's ahead.

Stihl "whatever" full chisel !
Sondre knows what it is, he sent me a couple loops.
Recently I use 3/8"LP only on my battery saw and pole saw, and those see limited use.
