Is the 26RS still the cats's meow? I'm reading that Oregon's chain quality is in the crapper. It's been a while since I've bought chain, used my last old stock loops of LPX(67 x .063) My 261 is full of bananas and it screams on .325

I like it. I’ve only used it new and hand filed, I’ve put a grind on it but yet to test it. I still need to test the x cut. I’m curious about it.

I used to work for a Stihl dealer until about a year ago (retired).
The pro loggers and tree guys would come in to buy the chain saying it cut better and stayed sharp longer than anything else they could find.
Granted our choices around here are pretty limited.
They would use the 26RS, 25RS or 23RS depending on the width of the bar groove.

Did Stihl ever produce .325 RS in a square grind? I found 3 new loops I've had a few years in Stihl cardboard cartons. I can't remember where they were purchased. Maybe they are regular 26rs cutters square ground? They sure look like a factory grind, bet they're a hoot to run.

So the double bumper "P" outruns the "RS"?
Edit: Is that NK chain? So a bar change is needed too

Interesting, but I'm too heavily invested in .063 loops and bars to try the "P"

So far, it works with at least “most” standard .050” bars. Seems like I saw where someone on here had some kerf issues on a standard bar but I haven’t seen it in person. Maybe once the chain is worn back a ways it won’t have enough kerf width, idk.
