That truck looks like it’s going to hit an iceberg

And a good looker, too!
Geno’s Garage dot comneed tow mirrors for '01...used oem or chinee?
I had a ‘97 that did the same. However, I was a high schooler beating every last inch of life out of that truck, and when I traded it, it had 279k on it.. Dodge got a bad wrap from their underbuilt auto transmissions, but the rest of the truck was always up to the task.I haven't read all the posts- but I'd never buy a Ram/Jeep/Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth after my dad's then brand new, very gently driven only by him, 1996 Dodge truck went thru new automatic 3spd trannies at 30-40K miles like they were disposable. And it happened to two other people I know on their same era Dodge auto trans equipped trucks.
I knew a guy who had the same vintage Dodge but with a Cummins diesel and Allison? manual trans, and it was a decently reliable truck.

'99 5.9 gas had 2 transmission rebuilds under warranty (before 30k miles), including one with a valve body recall update. By 38k it was acting up again. I added parts from a Transgo shift improvement kit, involving a few pressure plate holes being drilled out, some heavier springs and a custom grind on one of the valves. It's been good since.I had a ‘97 that did the same. However, I was a high schooler beating every last inch of life out of that truck, and when I traded it, it had 279k on it..
