I ran a stock 395 today stumping 36” bar buried, it won’t hang with my ported one, but you can still put a knee in the rear handle and it asks for seconds.

Sounds bout right.. i didnt check numbers on it while i had it, but the intake landed exactly where i figured it would. Those cylinders are pretty consistant.

Back to the 262 (which I REALLY like!) I will most likely just do a muffler mod, thinner base gasket and enjoy it. Being that 262 cylinders are NLA, I'd rather not grind on it. I didn't grind on my 242 for the same reason, just a timing advance and muffler mod. These old 2-series saws are cool and I'd like to keep mine alive and well as long as I can.

Yes Sir! I figured figured with all of that intake timing it might be a mistake to give it more area. Really like what you did with it Mike
