Since theres new videos of 262's I figured I'd share this. These are the first few cuts with my 261 that @rattler sent me. Its ported but not by Mike. 24" with new full comp.

Looks like it’s pulling the 24 really good Dale! How do you like it?

I'm very impressed with it. I think it could pull a 28" pretty easy in smaller wood.

I thought it was all broken in and ready to rip when I got it. I asked rattler and he said nope, fresh rebuild. So its only gunna get better once the ring seats and I can lean the carb out a bit.

Thanks mate! And yes, that frozen log was a bish. I’m going to get a good chain on mine and do a little more cutting today. Should be a better video.

Excellent! I am going to do a video soon with my China 660, 288, OEM 660 going at it. And then maybe my 272 vs my 2 044's. I love watching vids but I'm not much for making them. Gotta get it done.

Thanks Jeff! It’s a lot of fun to do threads like this. Generates lots of experience sharing discussion. But I’ll tell ya what we need some Stihl threads, been lacking lately

The Stihl's don't break, so its tough to do a build thread. They are too busy working and cutting trees. LMAO
Just funnin ya.

Did some experimental filing on my chain that was slow yesterday. I’ve never changed rakers like this but all the cool kids are doing it...LOL! Either I ruined my chain or I’ve given myself a starting point for learning to tune a chain. We’ll see, video will be up in a while.
