As usual, a master will make something difficult look like something anyone could do.

I’m very happy Joe is getting the saw. You’re attention to detail is bar-none.

Did you do any carb work? I find mine won’t tune unless I drill the main jet to a #70. A trick @Mastermind taught me.

Funny how the 046 slugs have minimal skirt machine lines.

Btw, that’s a nice muff mod.

Thanks Mike. That air filter is the artic filter that used to come on the earlier artic saws. It's the same metal mesh as the 026 and 036 filters.

Did you add outerwear? Or does it come like that?

No outerwear. This is just how they come.
The larger chips don't stick and any dust just taps right off. They flow about the same as a maxflow.

I'm not sure if they're available in the US. I can't find a receipt but iirc I think I paid $25-$30 CDN for it

I did a bit of research, and I know why I'm confused. There was another style 044 arctic filter than was flat, not oval, and the saw had a different filter cover. I never knew they made an oval arctic filter. If you can get more of them, let me know. I will also check if I can get them down here.
