I get $150 a face cord and $350/cord delivered within 25 miles. That's for oak. I'm close enough to Minneapolis/ St Paul that there's enough money around to support those prices. Honestly, I'm considering not selling full cords. If I could set my truck up to carry two or three face cords and do a couple deliveries at one time that'd be a better use of time and fuel while maximizing the price for the wood. I get more calls for face cords anyway. People buying from me might have an insert or fireplace for ambiance, but aren't trying to heat their houses.

How long do you let it season Matt? Before selling it?
Is that price for green or seasoned?

Mixed hardwood seasoned for 8-12 months. Anything we have gotten or are currently getting now and for the next two months will be for next winter anything after that will be for the year after

Now that we have a really good source I’m gonna try to get ahead.

In the St. Louis metro area, $300 a cord for hardwood delivered and dumped.
$350-$400 delivered and stacked, depending where you want it stacked.
This year has been a lot colder than normal. Most of the guys I know who sell firewood are about out. They're only selling to regular customers.

This elm and cherry came of a couple jobs, my kinda firewood score. Diced it all up last Friday and split it Saturday so it's now on the pile for at least a few yrs out depending on how much I sell, all the locust above went into my personal stash.

Almost forgot this nice elm score across the Rd where I got the locust, you can see the stump to the right of the locust.
There's some more elm there that his kids didn't get that I may grab, they were supposed to get all this as well, but they didn't take but one truck load so I grabbed the trailer load and a few sticks with the tractor.
I want to get the last round from this locust stump too, check out that sloping back cut lol, that is a big locust for our area, very rare to see one make it to that size, that stump has been there for a long time.

Between storms, I finally had a chance to do a little cutting and splitting.
I split the pile of Red Oak in the back yesterday and blocked up the stuff in the front today.
The stuff I split was 18"-24" rounds and would have normally taken a couple hours to do. It was so stringy that I spent more time with a hatchet cutting the splits apart than I did splitting. Ended up working a little over four hours to get it done.
Should burn just fine next year.
Hopefully the smaller rounds will split easier.

Nice haul.
I've heard splitting that elm in the winter when it's frozen helps.
You can always noodle it all too :b1:.
I split about a face cord yesterday and got it into the woodshed with a little help from the kids. Looking forward to getting it all loaded up for this winter. We split it right behind the woodshed and I tossed it thru the back.
Heading out to do a little more now and to work on the woodshed a little more.
