We will have to get together and run some of them
Sounds fun, Saturday another member is coming over and were gonna get a few of his chains straightened out and maybe run a few.
You're welcome anytime.
I keep thinking a 272 coil swap to get rid of the limiter would make my 7910 perfect. Then you go and put up videos like that.
That one still has the limiter James.
This one doesn't.
This one does...remember this one ;).

Looks familiar. That ones been backing up my 355t during the cleanup in the yard.
Honestly I've had a 32 on it buried and it didn't seem much slower then the 24. I'm just not very comfortable tuning above the limiter and I know the saw wants to be above it.

Just tune it in the wood, the 7910 is a pretty easy saw to hear 4-stroke. Fatten it up and run it in a log then just keep leaning it out until you don't hear it four stroke, then add a bit more fuel, it will be just fine. That being said you don't need a ton of rpms on a 7910 to have plenty of power, you just won't get to enjoy it for what it is.

Keeping the old man going. I think he still works so he can sniff out firewood. The construction company he works for does a lot of site work and there’s always firewood left behind by the loggers we don’t get the whole pile but we’re taking a few loads out maybe a few more than we were supposed to LOL. No mini excavator at this job so I was cutting off the pile and throwing it in then he was stacking it

The cool part is compared to what I was cutting this winter.. this is all 16 inch bar territory.. so I brought my Makita 4300 with MM. MOFO 026. And CSJ MS 250.

That’s awesome. My dad won’t cut wood with me.

I worked for about four hours this morning and got half of what I had blocked up, split. I'm slowly getting there. The middle pile is from today.
This is some of the stringiest wood I've ever worked with.

Still have this left, from my load of saw mill culls, to block and split. there's going to be some noodling necessary with several of these logs.

Nice wide open spot you have there to work.

Thanks.
It's about a half mile up the driveway from my house.
My wife relegated me to this area after she got tired of the messes I was making at the house.
Worked out well.

I finished splitting the rest of what I had blocked. It took about six hours to get it done. I'm really glad the weather dried enough that I was able to finish this pile before it got too hot. As ignorant as this wood is, I'm not looking forward to working up the rest of it. I generally enjoy cutting and splitting. This load of logs is an exception.image.jpeg

I’m in the same boat. Everything is too close to the house. And unless I stay right on top of it things get out of control.

SCarr ported 394 with a fresh loop of exl (134dl) went down through that sucker like a hot knife through butter. Here’s your Husky log @dall
Best I could tell it was 114 year old oak. Crazy heavy I might add.
