Just cut a tankful of 10-14" fresh hardwood with the little Husky and X-series bar and chain. This chain just rocks, I think it's my go to from now on. Mine is semi-chisel with bumpers and it cuts better than any full chisel I've tried, and yes you can cut with the nose. Other than the trunk pieces, I just cut all of this with the 440.

If the original poster is looking for .325 chain, Buy some new Stihl RS Pro chain. It is very similar to the Hooskie X Cut. Fastest box .325 chain I've tried to date. It only comes in .050. It is supposedly nk chain, but it runs in my Tsumura .050 bar just fine.

I still haven't sharpened any yet. But Duane squared his up. It cuts really well.

A little fish in a another form page. Said that husky may be coming out with some 325.
And I believe you’re correct about 50 and 58 no 63 gauge yet on what I know and I have read.
That may change when they come out with the 592s and hopefully new bars? But if I’m wrong please don’t shoot the messenger.

I’m getting to where I have more chains than I can use. But I want to try this fabled Xcut.
I like husky saws... but I wasn’t that impressed with xcut 3/8 c85/c83 chain. It cuts smooth and good for box stock chain don’t get me wrong. I just still prefer stihl RS or oregon EXL over it though. I like them better out of the box and I get better results handfiling them.

I was able to figure out how to replicate the factory grind with my USG, it is an odd setup to achieve, I have them written down in my shop. Hand filing will cause it to lose the hook is has with a factory grind, but it still cuts well hand filed, I noticed a little more chatter plunge cutting after hand filing w/o touching the rakers.

How is it after you sharpen and lose that funky shape?
