I agree, my 066 running 3/8 was stronger than my 076 super running .404 both with 36" bars. I really had to baby the 076 not to stop the chain and it was on excellent shape.
I was not impressed with the one I had, but that was with a 0.404" 36" hard nose.

My 660 does 36" better, with 3/8".

most o my other 6cu+ have 404 on em.

Most of my big cube saws are running 404 as well but i do have a
couple with 3/8 and the 3/8 cut really nice and might be a touch faster.
Been meanin to put a 3/8 rim on a 797 and see how it will cut. Got a
125 with a 60 running 3/8 and she cuts nice. My big bore 166 has 38 incher
with 3/8 and it likes it.

I have a 2101 and the PP655. The 2101 will cut faster with a 36" or less bar on it but the 655 will run slightly better with anything longer. For just the down-rite cool factor I consider it a toss up, both sound great when loaded and running hard.

I wonder how the stroke & bores compare on those 2: I always thought those were the 2 best in this class.

And if you ever decide you don't need 1 of the 5, I know a fellow. [emoji38][emoji38]

Very much enjoying this thread gentlemen didn't know anything about the 999 or the 1201 or the 603 very little about the 153 d.s. keep talking guy I'm just soaking it in....;)

Likewise: I enjoy gleaning good information from those that know.

It's nice that Moobsy hangs out here too. [emoji23][emoji23]

While they are 6 cube saws, I can add that the my Mac 795 and a 105 I have run do not have the speed or torque of my BP 655 with a 35" bar. I would guess this with a 1050 Homie as well.
