Well next to my bench at the shop now is a 1987 Yamaha something. lol Been sitting who knows how long and was in DIRE need of fuel system cleaning. Got it running today and runs ok, but still some tweaking to do.

Still got the CD2100 on the bench. Will try and finish it off this weekend.
Got an 084 on the other bench. It may sit for a while as I have a 07 to rebuild from 3 saws and just bought a good running 07s.
Can't have too many saws rite? Yes? Anyone [emoji15]

I do believe that on the right side of that exhaust port that is through the plating.

More sanding and it doesn't look good

I'm not sure really.
I have never had my hands on one but am very curious how it works and what all is involved.
I would love to find an unmolested example but from most accounts it wasn't popular and most guys scrapped the autochoke
I know they had a different cylinder but the timing wasn't too wonky as Randy used one on my 440/044 new recipe

alright I started at em for about 5 minutes but I am not sure what is different from the normal 044, maybe I cant see the forest for the trees
is that one a runner?
what all is actually different if you can tell.
I know there is some kind of carb linkage on the left side of the carb and it is a different model

that actually looks like it was converted to standard, the air filter base on the C model should be the black style with the long air filter cover that covers the control lever and the old style long filter and insert

If it has any of the auto choke linkage under there I would love to see it

Dave this is the first one I have touched the only thing I see different is the switch and I am sure it has some other difference. Yes it is a runner.
