Cylinder bases aren't cut by laser?!
Carbide blades…used to deck cylinders
But why not haha. Is that a digital timing wheel??No belt sander-ing of cylinders!
I like your method of motor hanger. I've got my tx on a big chain with multiple carabineers for height adjustment, that is then connected to the boom of my old cherry picker which is up in the rafters of my shop. Just picked up a set of rollers that I'm going to rest between the boom and rafter so I can roll it out of the way when needed. I've got a pretty small shop.

Sorry, didn't see see that you said not for sanding cylinders. Was joking about people using belt sanders to do cylinder base cuts

All above, with emphasis on the good music, most important part to be in a good frame of mind. The most important thing for me is the ability to get comfortable. That means a good chair or stool, a place to work where your legs can fit comfortably under the workbench, with the foot pedal easily accessible for either foot. Light is next. Gotta have plenty, and at the right position not to blind yourself. Tooling needs to be within reach so you aren't getting up and down repeatedly. And music.....gotta have good music.

Are you going to hook up dust collector lines, and maybe a down draft table? The most important thing for me is the ability to get comfortable. We do a lot of rebuilds.....those get a bath in the ultrasonic tank. Used saws to port just get the air hose. Thankfully, most of what we do is new saws.Hot tank to clean saws prior to working on them, or just require the saw owner to clean it first? Saw gurus shouldn't have to work on dirty saws!
I'm definitely no guru. But the saws I've done for others.....1 guy 6 saws.... All ported and I returned them with the small 6 gallon air compressor from harbor freight... I said bro *ssspppptttt ssssppptt done!Hot tank to clean saws prior to working on them, or just require the saw owner to clean it first? Saw gurus shouldn't have to work on dirty saws!
When Randy says plenty of legroom it is of course subjective based on the variables. For example the arrow is pointing to a spot that is enough leg room for Randy...The most important thing for me is the ability to get comfortable.
