Looks like rust and efflorescence on a couple of the bearings. Probably from previous or maybe current ethanol use? Or condensation drawing water in
Hard to know. The owner decided to ”help” me by taking the saw to the car wash and power washing it before shipping. It sat for an unspecified amount of time before he shipped it to me. The carb, muffler and case had water in them.Looks like rust and efflorescence on a couple of the bearings. Probably from previous or maybe current ethanol use? Or condensation drawing water in
This one sat after the bath.
Cool setup!View attachment 220 the start of an 036 build
My adapter for my 395 didn’t fit my 288 so I ordered metric tubing and made rings that fit over the bar studs. The tubing was pretty long so I have a lot of them if anyone wants some. Most people will know these adapters to run a Stihl bar on a Husqvarna. Over here they are not that common, so I made a 3d model and printed it on my 3d printer. View attachment 363612 View attachment 363613
Found that the 395XP has a small bumb on the inner bar plate, that's why there are 2 versions. It actually feels quite solid but I will try to make them out of a metal with the help of a small cnc mill.
Dunno what I'm looking at, but it's affecting my downstairs.
