Looks like rust and efflorescence on a couple of the bearings. Probably from previous or maybe current ethanol use? Or condensation drawing water in
Hard to know. The owner decided to ”help” me by taking the saw to the car wash and power washing it before shipping. It sat for an unspecified amount of time before he shipped it to me. The carb, muffler and case had water in them.

Ordinarily it wouldn’t matter if one did this and ran the saw asap afterwards. This one sat after the bath.

My mess at the moment: The silvery Huskies are waiting on chains as well as the 362, the 350 needs a clutch spring, the 125 is finally complete with some help from a few forum guys but I need to figure out a spark issue, the 390 is getting cleaned up for a visit out east, the sideways 056 is in the same boat as the 125, and the 660 is waiting on a slug. The truck parts behind the saws are gonna be their own bundles of joy before too long....IMG_2769.jpeg

Most people will know these adapters to run a Stihl bar on a Husqvarna. Over here they are not that common, so I made a 3d model and printed it on my 3d printer. View attachment 363612 View attachment 363613

Found that the 395XP has a small bumb on the inner bar plate, that's why there are 2 versions. It actually feels quite solid but I will try to make them out of a metal with the help of a small cnc mill.
My adapter for my 395 didn’t fit my 288 so I ordered metric tubing and made rings that fit over the bar studs. The tubing was pretty long so I have a lot of them if anyone wants some.

I noticed that too, same for a 266 for example. Didn't have the time yet to measure them, but it would be easy enough to make a similar design as the other one.
