562...new bottom end, muffler mod and port work. Found the piston locating pin loose so waiting on a new one. Anyone tried the Dukes coated piston?? I'm gonna give it a shot paired with oem ring and circlips.
Mounted my @tree monkey vise to the bench finally. It's pretty damn slick!!

Working on a tri-pipe muffler for my 084. Seems the tin the used on these early cans is thinner than the later ones, what a b*tch to MIG weld. This muffler was WRECKED, and you know how it is finding an 084 muff. Ain't the prettiest but it'll work.

Gotta make an interior baffle yet.

Also finished up my 10mm/12mm 044 build on Saturday, built a DP muff and custom set of bucking spikes as well. Saw is a solid runner....

Real early 10mm slant fin, 12mm crank and piston, swaged and opened up transfers, .018 squish, slight timing advance. Nothing fancy but came out nice, gonna enjoy running it.

I used a Dukes coated piston in my 066 round top. Its been on a couple of jobs with me this year and last . Everything is good.

I built one a few months back. Great little saw.

Took the base down to .018 squish, advanced the timing ,and opened up the muffler. I should've opened up the transfer throats but didn't. I may take the jug back off and do that

044.... crankshaft slid right out of the flywheel side bearing. Seems to fit proper in the new bearing so I figure I'll add a dab of loctite as insurance. Also ordered a granite lapping plate to flatten out the case halves (had an air leak at the case gasket). This one's pretty much ready for the bone yard but we'll see if I can make it last for another year or three.
