Yes, I completely agree. It’s been about 20 years ago but there was a Designated Examiner here in Atlanta that allowed a student pilot to land gear up at a local airport. Well, questions had to be answered and eventually another check ride for the DE was scheduled. Once in the air with the FAA in the cockpit the DE was put thru the usual stuff you’d be expected to complete on a check ride, when completed returned to PDK and LANDED GEAR UP AGAIN. I never really looked for them but neither the FAA Examiner or the DE were ever heard from again. Lol.
I cannot remember the Designated Examiners name but I took several of my written tests with her and while she was active I sent several students to her for written tests.

Started assembling the ms260. Got it to the point i could pressure and vac test. Needs a set of seals. Get them ordered tomorrow

Its so close yet so far. When i popped the flywheel off the key must have fell out. Think i can find it. Nope.
Then noticed the chain tentioner part is not ther. Dam these basket case junkers.
Gonna have about 130 to 140 into it when its done.

My local Napa has a plethora of sizes of Woodruff keys available.
I used a thinner than stock 1/16" (35 cents) in a Craftsman 3.3 about a year ago & havent had a issue.
I cleaned the shaft & flywheel & added some valve grinding compound.
