Nothing makes me smile more than ruining some wood really fast.

When you get out of bed after a stormy night and head into the back yard in your pajamas looking for fallen branches and spend breakfast daydreaming about which saw and bar combo to use in cleanup you know it's a special saw :)

I only go with the full monte.

Ported jug, custom piston, 194 carb, timing advance, muffler port match and red deflector.

Did I miss something?

no misses. I was wondering if this one received the 044 boot/carb. The saw I spoke to you
about for my best friend may be coming your way. I need to decide for sure though. Enjoy
the posts of your work always. Keep it up!

No, this one has an 026 boot and a 194 with an enlarged Venturi by 1mm.

Unless it's gonna be a cant cutter, I actually like the largest stock carb the best.

The 044 carb fits better in an MS260 tank. The air box is larger. It's much more difficult to shoehorn into an 024 or 026 case.

Daves saw is the exception to the rule. With a brand new OEM 044 carb and the @Canadian farm boy elbow, it idles and responds perfectly.

Next to my bench at the shop, Oregon
I have the same complaint about the 4 MIX carbs, even after ultrasonic and kits they are never right, so now I just replace them.
I've rebuilt several of those and not had an issue. lol I replace them now as it's cheaper for the customer and it saves me time.
