Sounds good, in the right application, they can provide an advantage. In road bikes (bicycles) there is no suspension, so inadvertently hitting pot holes, etc can be detrimental to them. I used them (high end ones) for crank bearings in a bike. Had no problems but also did not notice a real difference. The ones I used were the same make that a Tour de France champion used.

Most of the problems I have heard about were with the race, which is not ceramic.

Husqvarna 266SE that for the time being at least, that I've nicknamed "Crusty". Besides a good scrubbing it needs starter repaired fuel system gone through and overall general wellness check. I have to do a good job, as its owner is looking at a new 562xp. Try to keep this old timer still relevant, as it surely wont keep up.IMG_20160623_170856_478.jpg

I snagged up a similar model with a stronger magnifier and LED light cause I am more blinder than Moobs.
Heck I use it to read part numbers on parts, model numbers on carbs, etc. Plus the light is bright and not hot so I use it over the bench for general lighting as well.
Best shop tool ever. I will need a cane soon :)

Get a better one. This one is ok......but it's hard to get a excellent focus and get the right angle under it.
