Husqvarna 125B blower. New stop switch, carb, and waiting for a cruise control kit which will be here Tuesday along with the check valve kit for the carb on a Stihl 015.

I was digging through boxes and bins today. Built this 2145/50/52 today.
I found a tank then a 2145 case, a 2152 p&c, side chain adjuster, adjustable oiler ect. I need a front muffler support and a brake flag, not bad for a bunch of free
" junk " laying around.

Got a question....Do modded saws take a bit more to warm up than stock saws? I've noticed it takes longer to warm up. The trigger/acceleration is "spongy" until it's really nice and warmed up. Then it hits its rhythm and feels really good....With my other saw I just widened the exhaust. With this one I also enlarged the lower transfer openings, and it takes longer to get into its groove and also burns gas quite a bit faster...

Is it strato? Strato engines can be cold blooded. Try richening the L jet 1/8 turn and see if that is helpful (readjust the idle screw if you need to).

Tough question … bottom line is a ported saw may be more finicky than stock … or not. It all depends on the details.

Muffler mod could take some heat out more efficiently too.

Thanks.....no easy answers....it is strato...will fiddle more with your suggestions, huskyboy.

Finished up a couple pieces of equipment tonight. Had 3 Stihls and a Shindawa dropped off to me at work today for service/repairs. In CT, marine trades are considered an essential business so my work isn't shut down as of yet.

Thanks for the offer David. Since I have it cleaned up and moved to the museum building I don't think I will bother to make any additional efforts to get it running at this time.

I tackled this old Echo today.

I gave it a good cleaning. If you look closely you can see that the clutch spring is broken.

All cleaned up and will run on a prime. Another one that will go on display in the museum.
