No pics because I try to run them through here pretty fast but the last one is a Stihl MS270 that I can't get to idle too well. Thought the impulse hose was the problem and it was but it still won't idle well. I'll clean the carb tomorrow I guess. If that doesn't work I'll give the saw a pressure test...

Weatherby... .257 Weatherby Magnum...mounted and boresighted a Vortex 30mm, 6-24x50. Badlands Approach camo, Burnt Bronze Cerakote on all the metal goodies, 26” bbl. An absolute speed demon that hits deer and hogs and drops ‘em right where they stand. This is my third Weatherby in this caliber, have two more in Vanguard Sporter S2’s with Turkish Walnut stocks...crazy round that just folds anything on the receiving end of it...like a freight train!

Great cartridge! Last Montana antelope hunt my dad and I were on. You would have swore he needed a Wyoming permit for the buck he got with his .257. Thing hunched it up and dropped it where it stood. First time and only person I've seen someone make a clean one shot kill at 500+. No bipod but he had a good rest on a old fence post/windmill leg.

I'm glad he estimated his range instead of his buddy that was spotting him. Had he listened to his buddy he would have gotten nothing but belly hair. Hats off to the ol man on that. Knows his stuff and is one hell of a marksman.

When I was still single and cool, friends and I would play around with ranges out to 1200. But thats with a rest and ideal conditions. Anything in the field and in full gear beyond a few hundred is pretty impressive in my book.

Wish I still had some of my big iron and distance guns. Never should have sold them.

Moved a bunch of saws to the rack in the garage in an attempt to make a little more space in my work area. This morning I replaced the carb on the km85, test ran and tuned it, final test run and tune if needed tomorrow morning.

Here’s what I’m doin right now. This is my 100cc Twin. I can’t find the sweet spot when trying to tune the carb. The definition of insanity is said to be doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. That’s what I’ve been doing with this since I got it running. (3weeks) . Decided to look here. On initial inspection the points are nowhere close to each other as far as the gap is concerned. They are oil soaked. Don’t looked burned. There is room for improvement here for sure. B73231BA-9C3F-4DA3-8E2F-D7A653F19CBE.jpeg8E78FAE7-3A6A-4A70-96F8-5905C3D40F48.jpeg

NOTE: the nut used to secure the flywheel is also the puller. You take it off, turn it over and screw it in. Pop goes the flywheel! Awesome.
