Sometimes when carbs get old the Hi and Lo screws start to walk. I had to replace the springs under the adj screws on my 044 several years ago, and I have an 026 that drifts the tune.

My 041 on the bench for new chain tentioner. Also neighbor of my BIL's 026 not running propper. BIL put all new seals and intake boot, fuel line impulse line and still wouldnt hold a toon propper. I brought home to have a boo at it and i think its maybe to fuel vent. I couldn't suck air through it so i took the screw out of the vent and i could. So left it out for now and gonna try it out soon whennit dries up a bit.
I had it idling for about 10 mins and gave it a bunch of throttle blips and seems good so hope thays all it is.

Had a 026 do the same.
Wouldn't hold a tune.
Bad carb.
I believe some 024/026 was a common issue.
I think Lakeside53 pointed it out a few years ago

I put a chinese carb on it yesterday and ran 2 tanks through it today. Its holding a good tune on top end but i just couldnt seem to get the low end dialed in. I think may have to pick up a oem carb for it eventually. But its not mine so not my choise. Will have to see what the owner says.

What were the presets on the China clone carb? I've found that they are more than the 1 and 1 like the Genuine Walbro WT194.
More like 2 1/2 and 1 1/2.

Dad's buddy's pressure washer. Was going to test it out earlier today but had no water coming out when I squeezed the trigger. Did some disassembly and found the soap injector plugged solid.. need to source one along with an inlet check valve for the unloader. Unloader is working as I can adjust the pressure from 0-2000 psi. Also got the oil pump upgrade done on my 340/346.

Been working on the old 190 as time allows.
Stock is almost 100%. Needs a little more polishing.
Also stripped and re-blued the barrel...

With the shelter in place and my parts cam back from being done in high temp cerakote, I managed to complete the rebuild of the 190 and clear my bench for the next project.

After 40 years I expected it to be bad, but, OMG
Dirt 001.JPG Trigger Assem.JPG

Decided to polish everything while the lower, trigger section, and other parts were being carekoted.

Finally got around to trying out the modified fluxcore welder....took a little getting used to the wire feed (I'm used to my arc welder), but overall I'm very happy....I'll be able to take this anywhere with an extension cord and weld what I need to (gates, fences, shop racks, etc.), as opposed to my arc welder with its 220 limitation....
