Just picked up a Husky 50 and 365 from the scrap dealer, the 365 is the dirtiest saw I've ever got.
Its filthy but not knocked around, piston and cylinder are mint, piston still has machine marks on it, I'm 20200320_114203.jpg 20200320_114217.jpg 20200320_123911.jpg 20200320_123852.jpg very happy.

Don't worry Jeff, I was going to ask the same thing!

Hey, the Husky guys will be happy, my client tonight (and client and friend for 35 yrs) has a 555, 372, 390 and 395.

Plus, he just got a great deal on a low hour 12" chipper at auction!

After crankcase flush, cleaned carbon from the top of piston, carb clean and lots of other little things it runs well, still need to clean flywheel area, get a air cleaner and top cover.
I don't always have a win like this

I have a dirty old 066 that cleaned up real nice. It ran VG, but I put a Cross P+C on it (the OEM piston was a little scored, but the ring was free) and it ran even better. It is the saw featured in the HL Supply Cross P+C video.

My 041 on the bench for new chain tentioner. Also neighbor of my BIL's 026 not running propper. BIL put all new seals and intake boot, fuel line impulse line and still wouldnt hold a toon propper. I brought home to have a boo at it and i think its maybe to fuel vent. I couldn't suck air through it so i took the screw out of the vent and i could. So left it out for now and gonna try it out soon whennit dries up a bit.
I had it idling for about 10 mins and gave it a bunch of throttle blips and seems good so hope thays all it is.

So i took that 026 to the bush and ran ok but it seems to go lean on its own. Can set it to four stroke WOT. Then recheck few mins later and seems lean again. Reset and same thing over and over. I pressure vac tested the case and all was good ther. Could this possibly be a carb issue? It did just have a gasket kit put in it about a month ago or so by my BIL. I pulled apart and looks good. I do have a china carb i can putmon to see if any better but looking for your thoughts on what it could be.

Could the screws be walking while running?
They didnt seem to be that i noticed. They did seem to have some resistance to turn them. I put the china carb on it to try. Only had one block of wood to test it on here. Once i git it tuned it seemed ok but only made about 8 cuts or so. Will have to get out to bush and run a tank through it to see.

Started pulling down my scrapyard find 50 Rancher today, pulled off the exhaust and unbolted carb and intake, pulled off the cylinder and then this thing crawled out from between the carb and intake manifold, my fingers we're just in there.
Red Back spider, highly venomous.
