If it gets hot enough to burn the paint off it may glow at night alsoI've never milled at night. Wonder what it would look like, with the single port on my 46?.
I'm gonna do this to one of my 44 covers just because I already have some deflectors from red97.My front cover is discolored some. I may put an outlet on the front of it like I did the 44 for the guy. View attachment 5052
Here's the tach readings. I was told I was a slightly rich in that size of wood. Plus I need to be more consistent with my cutting technique. This was recorded about 1.5 years ago....my first video. Edit-addition: 110 was a little faster in both cuts but I need to retest to verify. My buddy Ron660 cutting with his MMWS 660 running 93 octane and Sunoco 110 with Motul 800t @ 32:1, 1st video 93 octane
Not sure I agree; (sometimes) you state what you thought you knew, and when you get an (opposing view), you learn a (new lesson), or new perspective that you (maybe?) were not even aware of. (Sometimes) you accept the new; sometimes (you may) not. One of my favorite sayings is "If everything was as easy as we (thought) it was, the grand-kids would have already done it". The (scientific community) used to say "that it (scientific fact) that the earth is flat". I do believe in "No stupid questions". Sometimes, what we thought we said is not what we meant, and sometimes, even when we said it correctly, that is NOT what they heard, LOLThere are opinions and there are facts. The problem with this site and others is guys through out opinions that are not based in fact. Regurgitating alot of old wives tales and patent falsehoods. This does no one anygood.
The problem is, just as the flat earthers, people tend to spout stuff off as fact, sometimes very adamantly, that their only source for is hanging out with the local culls at the auto parts store or something similar. You also have guys that observe things but can't grasp the differance between correlation and causation. Not sure I agree; (sometimes) you state what you thought you knew, and when you get an (opposing view), you learn a (new lesson), or new perspective that you (maybe?) were not even aware of. Those "ambers" are carbon flakes coming off your piston domeWhen you hear lean popping and ambers shooting out the exhaust ,it may be too hot.
that looks redneck. My front cover is discolored some. I may put an outlet on the front of it like I did the 44 for the guy. View attachment 5052
I bet she breathes good thoughthat looks redneck.
Tune is huge. I thought I had my 670 jred tuned about right til I took it to the wood pile. It felt doggy and I ended up going 1/4 turn leaner. Took 20% off cut timesBelieve it or not....I'm still learning from this thread. One thing I've learned is just because I've conducted a few octane, or oil, tests doesn't mean it's a fact. Variables, such as proper tune compared to an overly rich tune, can probably change your outcome. You have to be open-minded and not get pissed with feedback that disputes your findings. You might learn something.
How much rpm more was it huskihl?Tune is huge. I thought I had my 670 jred tuned about right til I took it to the wood pile. It felt doggy and I ended up going 1/4 turn leaner. Took 20% off cut times
