I have a real good finishing recipe for figured woods. Analine dye for color. Here's the others, 1 in birdseye maple the other in 1/4 sawn sycamore.

When I first started in wood working, I made these for gifts. Here's a run of smaller ones made with cherry and birdseye maple.

Fantastic clocks, Those are saweeeeeet. Do you ever sell any.

Nope. They were all gifts. Gave my wife the birds-eye one.
I have 10 more days left of employment, after that I hope to get back into the hobby.

For me, On the front burner is chainsaws and snowmobiling. Although
not been able to hit the snow yet this season due to lack of snow. I also
have a small collection of vintage Lawnboy mowers. Love motorcycles
as well. Dirt and street. My last bike was a 2001 Honda CBR929RR.
Cutting splitting firewood is also a release from my day work. Am very
into muscle cars as well. Have 5 at the moment.

Had a friend that "stunted" a 929. Crazy fool if ya ask me. I rode that bike once and oh boy... what a piece-o-sheeit. Hate seeing guys do that on the streets. Gives us all a bad rep. I was given a dirt bike for my 10th birthday, been on 2 wheels since.

A buddy had a 929 with a Power Commander and full Akropovic exhaust system. It also had a smaller sprocket on the rear end and would pull off the line like no one's business. It wouldn't quite whip a newer ZX-10 but it was't far off... That bike was fun.

This one took about 9 years to finish. Still isnt titled but I have ridden it. View attachment 8633View attachment 8634
I will have a HD or Victory bike someday. I would like to find an old R90/S or R100/S Beemer and make a bobber out of it... I think it would be neat. My next bike may be a Triumph Rocket III though as now that I've ridden two of them, their torque is addictive. Plus w/pipes they sound quite similar to a Rolls-Royce Merlin V-12 like what was outfitted in P-51 Mustangs and British Spitfires and Lancaster Bombers... They're something else. At parking lot speed, the roadster handles better than my ST1100...

What calibers are that Remington and the (I'm assuming a Savage?) in your other picture out of curiosity?

The remington is a winny mod 70 in thuty aughsix, and the savage is my Dad's gun, which he talked me into taking on the sheep hunt instead my .30-06 as I stepped out of the cab of his pickup to make the stalk on the ram. I had never even held the rifle before, let alone shot it. It's a .300 WSM with a huskamaw scope on it, as I'm walking off on the hunt then he drops the bombshell on me, the scope turrets are all wrong so don't try and dial up the range. I ended up making a 400 yard shot using kentucky windage with a 20mph crosswind. It all worked out and no I did not shoot it in the azz. It has blood on the rear flank from when he got hit in the lungs and it rolled down the cliff face end over end.
