When I can get out of the shop, I enjoy doing anything outdoors. Normally, it's work that must be done.......feeding the cattle, bush hogging, baling hay, fixing fence, etc. I love to work.....I just wish I was able to clone myself.

Cave Run is very well known even up here. There are a lot of guys who go in the early spring since we have ice sometimes until April or even into May Some years. Season opens first Saturday in May in the southern region and end of May up North. I'd like to take a trip to Kentucky to fish in the next few years.

Crappie fishing is a blast too. Geez any fishing beats working!

I enjoy anything that involves being outside. Fishing, campfires with a few brews, cruising around and doing burnouts with my old camaro, I even enjoy cutting grass and yard work. I wanna go get my possession and acquisition liscence and hunting liscence soon. I can see that turning into another disorder.
Basically I enjoy anything that doesn't involve sitting in the house staring at the walls all day

Gotcha. It is gorgeously figured. Movingui is another wood that looks a lot like tiger maple...gorgeous stuff!!

I have a real good finishing recipe for figured woods. Analine dye for color. Here's the others, 1 in birdseye maple the other in 1/4 sawn sycamore.

When I first started in wood working, I made these for gifts. Here's a run of smaller ones made with cherry and birdseye maple.

Very nice and no I haven't. I love the soft finish and beautiful table btw. I really liked Hope's tung oil varnish but can't seem to find it anymore.
How forgiving is sayerlack (quick flash time) and what kind of application ?

It seemed very forgiving and easy to use. It was sprayed using a HF hvlp gun. I'm not trying to blow smoke but the pictures don't do it justice.

I have a large family (4 kids) and we use that table daily. I just took those pictures and the table is 3 years old. Not a mark on it yet. It's been a very durable finish.
