Planter boxes built into the hill side. Middle box is 16' long for scale. Fencing all milled by me as well.

Bandsaw box. This piece of maples been sitting in the corner of the shop for years covered in dust. Couldn't remember why I saved it till now.

That's one nice piece of maple. What kind of maple was it any idea? Most of the big ones by me are silvers.

Couple more things I made. Spruce slab bookcase and a red elm table. Top on table got a little warped because I screwed up by sealing one side and not the other right away. Side that wasn't sealed absorbed some humidity and grew warping my nice flat top. But finished it anyway because it was to nice a chunk not to.

Have you ever finished anything rough cut, and what would you use on that?

This is from a table I made rough sawn. I knocked the fibers down with a brush sander followed by 120 grit sand paper. Couple coats of oil/poly blend and then I rub it down with steel wool until its smooth to the touch. Then a couple more coats.
This table leg is actually very smooth to the touch despite the rough sawn appearance.
