We have had multiple reports about this user from people who say they've sent him money and not gotten product or tracking numbers. Other say they smelled a rat before they sent him money. He seems to have ghosted everybody.

If you have had any dealings, good or bad, with this individual, please share your experience here. Thank you.

That poster only had four posts, looks like, and all four were to sell something. That's usually a bad sign.

But those posts were all over a year ago, unless I'm missing something. That horse is out of the barn, through the gate, and has trotted down the lane by now. He's probably even been canned for dog food by this point. But it doesn't hurt to try, I guess.

I agree with everything in your first paragraph. Over the last week or so, he's been PMing members, offering to sell this or that, taking money, then going silent. We're trying to find our how much has gone on, and give him a chance to tell his side and make good on deals. And to make sure that nobody else gets hosed. This is a great place to buy and sell, and I want it to stay that way.

Just for what it's worth, on a couple of firearms forums I read, trustworthy/longtime users have had their account hijacked somehow, and the hijacker then sends emails to folks offering whatever they're looking for. The buyer thinks, "Yeah, I know Joe, he's a good guy, been on here for years" and sends Joe money, but turns out it's not really Joe. I'm not smart enough to know how this happens, but I know that it does. So it is indeed a good idea to give this "seller" a chance to speak for himself.

This member reached out to me as well claiming to have 076 parts for one of my wanted ads. I quickly recognized the pictures as being stolen screenshots from cheapchainsawparts on eBay and the Australian seller of nos 1111 parts.

Stuff like this keeps me from even trying to sell anything myself.

And thankfully buying from the US is out of question for the most part.

That is kinda a burning red flag!
