I don't recall this much negative talk about performance with the 562. That thing had all the problems it did and folks still hyped it up.

Like I said in the other thread, mine was a dud until it had a few tanks through it. Was the same with the proto types.

I get a kick out of all of the talk about the weight. Half the guys who worry about a couple of ounces here and there, will go out and weigh the saw down with full wrap handles, west coast spikes and a bar two sizes bigger than they need to make it look cool. LOL

The weight part cracks me up.

Thanks Bob!

Maybe the dealer confused production availability with production issues/problems. Good to hear the saw is solid and it's just a production ramp up issue.

There are so many things that can happen and most of them go unexplained. Sometimes it's a vendor issue with a simple part. Years ago Ariens had to stop shipping ride on units for a short time cause they ran out of crates to pack them in. :) When sales go way beyond forecasts it's not always as simple as just saying, "Hey, let's make twice as many as we planned." LOL

Husky 525LK split shaft trimmers have been back ordered since freaking March; and 7500 of them are finally landing in the US this week. Other models with the same power head have mostly been available all year. Could those powerheads been allocated to better selling models? I mean you can guess and theorize all you want, but it doesn't matter. Can't sell 'em until they show up.

I hope 'Revboost' hasn't been left out of the 572, it's a feature that makes me enjoy running my 5ives. I think the 572 will be a success story for husky.

I guess anything is possible, but the only thing I've been told is that they did some sales forecasts and the numbers were way higher than expected. I told my rep I wanted 50 XP's, 10 XPG's and 10 565's. Lot's of orders that size and larger still. Combined with it's popularity where it is already being sold, they will need an extra few months to build enough product to fill the pipeline. Don't want to launch the thing and then have them on backorder every couple weeks. "Filling the pipeline" isn't talked about a lot, but with something that will be in high demand, it really needs to be done to avoid driving everyone nuts. Went through this last year with the Exmark Radius; big splash and then you couldn't get them.

"Something serious" doesn't sound right, cause we'd have heard about it in the European market. And I don't think EU emission regs are all that different than EPA, if at all. And the date I was told was Feb 1, not 12-18 months.

I don't know about chainsaws but in the auto industry there are excessive differences between US and European emission regulations. A case in point would be the whole VW diesel fiasco. Even down to sound emissions the US is far stricter and this has been that way for a while. When Kawasaki released there new model ZX10R several years ago they had to detune the crap out of it at high rpm just because of our different emissions or testing methods. The US vs Europe's bike was down like 20 hp at the wheel.

I don't think its anything serious either I expect its from some sort of business reasons as spike60 mentioned.
I don't want to get all political just the emissions stuff our government does is NOT FAIR and some of it is downright stupid. It bugs the crap out of me! Our emission laws are among the worlds very strictest few countries do as much as we do to safeguard our wonderful planet. Don't get me wrong I am all for taking care of the environment but the idea that we have self imposed the strictest most burdensome and costly restrictions/laws with some of them being down right extreme while some other countries (like china despite having near triple our population) do basically nothing to protect this beautiful planet (yet we do massive amounts of business with them anyways) is crazy. In the government there are a lot of very intelligent people who unfortunately have little common sense and often no real understanding of a given subject making all the rules/laws and the EPA is no exception.

Its not about the environment here. Most of the regulations here are corporate protectionism, its hard for the little guy to get their way in here when you need to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to get something certified be it crash testing, emissions testing, as a drug, etc.

Well.....……………….looks like it's a little more than that fellas. I don't know yet exactly what's going on; but something's going on. There will no doubt be a load of amusing theories as this thread continues. :) When I get the low down I'll fill you guys in.

And yeah, let's skip the politics. You can get all worked up even when your talking with guys you agree with. LOL
