Lol...boopOk.....but GFY.
With a short bar my ported 395 kills it, with the unlimited coil the 395 cuts at around 12-12.5k rpm. I think the 395 might have a slight edge with overall power and would probably take the 592 with a long bar as well.
I know we ask a lot, but do you have a ported 390 to compare it to? I have my doubts about it hanging with a nice 390
Have you ran a 592? I ran the one Kevin did and it’s quite a saw to be honest.I know we ask a lot, but do you have a ported 390 to compare it to? I have my doubts about it hanging with a nice 390

Yeah about 2 seconds fasterWell done Kevin. That seemed pretty even, slight edge to the 592, imo...
Hard to compare. The 592 wants to cut at a higher rpm. The limiting coil gets in the way a little. It’s probably very similar to one of my 390’s for a shorter bar. The guy I ported this 390 for likes torque for running a longer bar on it and didn’t want it rowdy.both of those saws were zippin right through that log. how did they feel compared to each other?

A guy brought me up some red oak logs and cutoffs. Tis more betterYou need some sycamore logs for testing. I think that 592 would pull away; it was wanting to go. That petrified wood you get will hurt the pride of ANY saw imo
Do you have any plans to do any more R&D on these or you just calling it good?
You haven't lived
Understandable, knowing how you are are, just figured you weren’t happy not getting big gains so figured you’d keep looking for more in them. The 592 is with its owner already. It will probably for to Joe eventually to get dyno’d.
The 585 is still here. I might mess with it more but I don’t have time right now.
