I'll be messing around with this 592 when I have the time. The plan is to test it in stages and when it's all done it will head to Joes for a dyno run.

The muffler is completely open on the inside, no baffles at all. It has a decent size hole to the screen and the outlet is of a good size for stock. It's made of some sort of stainless, not even the slightly magnetic, and seems to be brazed together.

Last picture is how large you could expose the screen if you kept the stock deflector shape.

After removing every bit of material I could to expose as much of the screen as possible.



I bent the flap back down and made an extension to cover over the newly exposed area.

This stainless didn't weld very nice, I'll probably have to rig up a back purge hose when I do the next one.



Under the brake flag.



With the brake flag pushed all the way forward, plenty of room to go even bigger.

The numbers for timing and what Joe has run on the dyno...its a pretty stout machine out the gate. I feel like these guys have been paying attention to the forums and builders.

6.47% on the eye/ear dyno here. Not factoring in log, chain, ambient, and AT changes. Didn't time it.

Throwing out the first cut it was 5.7%, throwing out the first 2 it was 6.7%. Each cut was faster, I wish I would have made more cuts but it didn’t know it was still getting faster.

Those are good gains in small wood for just opening a hole, considering it sorta had a unrestricted muffler from the factory.
