Nice, I am rebuilding a 200, it is turning out to be a fun saw to work on, though the fuel tank was rank before I cleaned it out, the gasket basically melted into a goo. Still need to hit it with a sand blaster.
You win Mark lol! BUT were yours sanded with a 1973 craftsman belt sander?Don't know yet, too many other things happening...like shelving in the new display area...

Looks like the 1-72 and the 1-82 may have similar parts which can be interchanged, looks like you have a 1-72 there judging by the recoil/bar cover. Older McCullochs seem to have that style of bar nut, ones that get cranked down. Both my 200 and D-44 have cracks in the clutch cover from the bar nuts being really tightened down. You would be surprised how many people wrench their bar nuts down on newer Stihls and Huskvarnas....they end up losing one at some point and then really crank down on the others so not to lose them too.Interesting that it's stamped as both a 1-72 and 1-82. Interesting door to access the carburetor adjustments. Extremely interesting and dumb tight recoil and clutch cover setup for removing and installing the bar and chain. Any insight on the reason for it being stamped as 2 models and a purpose for the recoil clutch cover set up that has to have the bar nuts tightened with a box wrench?
