In 1946 Robert McCulloch purchased a plot of land that had been a bean field in the middle of nowhere, across the street from what was then known as Mines Field. His operations had formerly been in a cramped facility in Milwaukee, WI.
Robert McCulloch wrote the first name for each recipient of this letter. I have this one that was sent to Robert Jackson, and another (copy) of one sent to someone named Cliff if I remember correctly.
They had to have done very well selling the L.A. property. My grandfather when in the Navy around 1930 was taken on a sales trip by a real estate agency. Said you could see a big 20th Century Fox sign from the residential lots they were selling for $150.
