Great looking saw. Looks like an absolute beast and appears to be in excellent condition. I’ve decided to stick with the 18” Oregon bar that has been discussed. I’m just going to paint it black, use a McCulloch stencil from Sugar Creek, and go from there. I really appreciate the offer though. If I ever get my hands on another saw (considering it), I’ll come to you first thing.Grant J here are some pics of that 20 inch mac bar. It was a nos bar I bought from max on ebay A few years age. It has cut maby 6 trees. Let me know if this is something you would be interested in. The 10-10 is not includedView attachment 438666View attachment 438668View attachment 438669
Sounds good. You'll have to send us some picks after you are done painting that bar. Are you running full chisel or semi chisel chain?Great looking saw. (Plus I’ve already bought an 18” oem scabbard )
I will definitely send some pics once I’m done with it. I’m going to be using a full chisel. Oregon E66 PowerCut chain.Sounds good. You'll have to send us some picks after you are done painting that bar. Are you running full chisel or semi chisel chain?
Oregon power cut with .35 rakers... Nothing better.I will definitely send some pics once I’m done with it. I’m going to be using a full chisel. Oregon E66 PowerCut chain.

Another thing you can do to really make a 10-10 cut is to change the 7 tooth sprocket to a 8 tooth sprocket. The larger sprocket gives you more chain speed and makes the saw feel and cut much more like a newer saw.
That is definitely tempting. I would love to remove all the necessary things like the clutch myself, but I’m just now cutting my teeth on chainsaws. I’ve been a gun and classic car nut for years now, but I can thank the hurricane for sparking this new interest in me.Another thing you can do to really make a 10-10 cut is to change the 7 tooth sprocket to a 8 tooth sprocket. It won't be long until you are like me and have six different clutch pullers (because the different saws never use the same tools)...and I still need to get another one now. And flywheel pullers....I would love to remove all the necessary things like the clutch myself, but I’m just now cutting my teeth on chainsaws.

Not according to Al SmithStrongest of 10 series, View attachment 438619
I like them 850's I do! As you know lolPerhaps the strongest in the 10-10 group of saws, but the "10 Series" would include the 60, 70, and 82cc models of which the PM850 is probably the strongest.

Frawley's is where I get all my Oregon stuff, wish they carried Husky X-Cut.
Just curious as to what is entailed with Phase 2 ?Phase 2 of the museum is moving along so it was time to get the test log out of the way. 797 did the majority of the work.
