Brent, I may get up with you sometime and see if can get you some more Macs or Poulans your way. After retirement, the next job has me on road so much got too many saws/and or projects. Need to send some stuff your way again. Ten series will stay, but have the Poulans, Homies, and other macs. I’ll be back here later in month….mean at home later in month.
I'm good my friend.
Dont have time to fix what I have.
Got the 7-10A still in a box.
Got all the parts, but havent had time to get it together.
Same with the last 1010S I found.
SUPER clean saw, just needs a ring and crank seals.
Again, no time.
Gonna be a grampa before this month os over, so that will take some of my time too, but I'm looking forward to THAT.:)

You have a tendency to lean more toward these old gals, especially once you run a 10 series or two.
Those are just well made old workhorses that dont disappoint.
They have the torque and decent speed to get things done when you need them, and they arent too finicky.
Also made for real people.
Not for those who cant handle a little noise and vibration.
Ive seen folks swear by a heavy, slow saw just because it has antivibe and a quiet muffler.
End of day, it doesnt get any more wood cut. All I'm saying.

I unfortunately can't handle the vibrations anymore Brent. Carpal tunnel is real bad last year or so. Only silky smoothe spring a/v for me.

I know its off topic and color, but there is a raffle going on right now for a good cause for a 350/346 that is a lightweight little ripper, and its got "silky smooth antivibe";)

I dont have the link, but look into it.
Its for a good cause.

D, you are a very generous man sir.
Seems like I never get down your way anymore, but the next time I do, lunch is on me.
Might even bring a saw or two and go play.
Bring some saws and we'll make some noise! Speaking of noise, I got to fire up my Kart saw yesterday to cut down a 50 inch white oak. I had forgotten how loud it is with that Kart muffler, which really doesn't do much muffling.

Well guys,I got the PM 555 in the mail today.Of course the seller forgot to mention that the muffler is loose,it's missing at least one bolt & most likely the gasket too. Also missing a bar nut.On the plus side,it's nice & clean, has both bar plates,& has a new fuel filter in it.I'll see about getting pics on here tomorrow.

Ive got a crusty 1010A that ive done basically nothing to, other than file the points. Dad bought it for a parts saw, but not many of the parts fit his 1010SE, so I "adopted" it.
Its a good runner. The muffler louvers are rusted at just the right places to direct ALL the exhaust note into ones right ear.:D
It sounds awesome, but painful.

BTW Brent, congratulations on becoming a grandpa soon!
Thanks Ed.
I cant wait!
I'll be doing what I can to help while he's a tiny thing, but once he starts walking and talking, poppa Dream is gonna teach him stuff that his parents and his Mimi are going to get mad at me for.:)
Some things any good young man should know, like how to make things work, and how to enjoy the simpler things in life.
Stuff thats apparently not being taught much these days.
Ive already got a minty little Mini Mac set aside just for him when he gets old enough.:D

Can anyone tell me where I can find both crank seals for a 6-10? I have found them old stock but they look bad.

The crankshaft is right hand start 10-10 .The seals are SAE sized or you could most likely find them on E-Bay .If I get a chance I'll look up the OEM part number and cross reference it with the master interchange seal book .
