Ya it would be interesting on the re-sleeve of the block to delete the q port with the sleeveNice job indeed .I could never wrap my head around a Q port though .Fact I've got a couple that are not McCullochs . Some say it's for noise control and others for easier to pull over which makes more sense in light of port time area open theory .
My favorite of the 10 series is an 850 .My fastest over cants is 6-10 that will run heads up with a 372 Husqvarna but that saw is a one of a kind .
Of the reed valves I like the 87 cc engines .
I have a 600 or 6-10. I'm not a Mac guy so I don't know much about them. Was this a particularly good model? If I remember correctly, it's complete.
That titan 70 is a rare McCulloch Al , could you post pictures of it? Most people will never lay eyes on one.I 'm not certain how rare a 6-10 really is except mine is the only one I've ever seen and it will scoot .It will also blow out your eardrums and make dogs howl .Lawdy is that thing loud .
I've got another rather rare example from some time in the 90's .An Italian made Mac Titan 70 which is 100 percent all unaltered .Took me two years to find the correct fuel cap for it . It does okay for stock 70 cc's but I don't run it often so it should last forever .That said a good running 700 will out run it .
No hurry Al, just don't exit the planet before hand .Give me a day or so .I have to find where it's at .I do have some some pics on one of my hard drives but that might take a month of Sundays to find them .
The 600 and 6-10 are totally different series.
A 600 series is a decent firewood saw. Heavy as hell but will get the job done and keep asking for more
A 6-10 is a collectable right hand start saw that can draw a premium price for a 10 series.
I just looked and mine is a 6-10. It's complete and looks like a low hour saw
+1 on that.Id say if your wanting a 10 series go with a 57cc or 70cc. Pm55,pm555,pm10-10s. Or, 70cc, 7-10 or 700.
10-10 has lots of parts available for sure and nearly all the parts on the rigid saws will interchange. Nearly.
Would love to see some pics.I just looked and mine is a 6-10. It's complete and looks like a low hour saw
