+1, ive had a few gifted saws. Today was no exception. A guy at work said he had a little yellow saw and a homelite if i wanted them? Duh!! So he brought them today. The homelite is a super ez, the mcculloch turned out to be a great condition 510. Yay for that.20220223_104346.jpg

Super EZ is one of the best sub50cc saws I've ever used!

Uh huh.
Not to knock the Mac or derail this thread, but the SEZ that I "loaned" to dad over a year ago is now his favorite.
Punches WAY above its weight class.
I'll have to inherit that one to get it back.
I'm ok with it staying where its at BTW.
Those are cool saws, and should be enjoyed, just like the yellow ones IMHO.

For 41ccs that SEZ really packs a punch.I got a few of 'em when I first started collecting a few yrs.ago & I wasn't really too keen on them at first.A couple were good to go with just putting fuel in 'em.I had one where the PO used the wrong gasket under the circuit plate. When I used one for the first time I fell in love with those saws.I have over 20 SEZs now, plus a couple Super Minis & a couple EZs

I'll take some when I get home. There's one on the local craigslist for 160. It's a good looking saw. Seller says it starts and runs well. What do y'all mean by right-hand start?

The pull starter is on the bar cover instead of the flywheel cover.

Ok, I didn't know there were 2 different models. Mines just the left hand start.

All good! :)

McCulloch did that with their newer line. Refresh the name to boost sales I'm sure. Can be confusing.

1-10 and the 110
3-10 and the 310
5-10 and the 510
6-10 and the 610

The -10 saws where know as the 10 series and a the non hyphenated saws where mostly ProMacs. Quite a few ProMac saws where 10 series too and that's what makes McCulloch confusing sometimes!

They made the 10 series so long using similar parts that can interchange no matter what the actual parts numbers are it gets real confusing .That said I've wrenched a lot of this series and they are nearly bullet proof .Seldom does a seal go out ,the bearings last forever and so do the piston rings .Depending on what portion of the country other than the forums or flea bay they don't usually sell for much .Funny thing today rooting through my shed I discovered another 700 I forgot I even owned . Where on earth did that come from ?

Thanks Al, the crazy thing is you can still buy s clutch for that 70 but very few people will even ever see one.
6-10 is cool to.

Might be hard to believe but the only 10-10 I ever paid for came in a load of McCulloch stuff that the frieght cost me for than I bid on it .Plus it was less than 50 miles away in Ohio .That 40-50 pounds of stuff also had a 250, a right hand start 10-10 , which I robbed the crankshaft for the 6-10 , a bow bar and bunch of rebuild kits for oil pumps just to name a few items .That 10-10 which is a 53 cc will out run the 10-10 S .Neither one of course can hold a candle to a 700 .
