The 300 Series saws are not bad performance wise, but the ergonomics on the top handle version is not great. The rear handle models (330, 340) are about as ugly as a chainsaw every could be, but they are quite comfortable to operate. Best wishes to you if you have to work on the carburetor side, there is quite a lot going on there with the carburetor & boot, impulse line, fuel line, and throttle cable all arriving in the compact little air box.

Yes! This. I had this one I have all apart. A Mini Mac is a pleasure to work on by comparison.

Does anyone know the points gap at TDC for a power mac 6? From what I hear the 10-10 is 19 thou. I should have checked before I tore my saw down.

That looks awesome!
According to acres points gap is 18 thousandths and coil gap to flywheel is 10

As a suggestion rather than attempt to find all the parts for a "poppit" type decomp to tap the hole out and use normal type compression relief . Because evidently modifications are in the plan so called correctness doesn't apply so any decomp should work .Stihl, Husqvarna etc .Actually because of the displacement you really shouldn't need a decomp IMO .

I agree. I'm planning on just plugging it.

Got my ported Power Mac 6 back together. Gonna see how she runs tomorrow!

It's the one without the bar.

I still need to redo the fuel line on mine... Been procrastinating it. Can't wait to hear back from you on yours!

If the stub is leaking you can seal where it meets the tank with 3-bond or something similar. I put a little where it mates into the carb as well to ensure it won't leak. It will still come apart if you need it to. Just scrape the old off, reapply, and put back together.

Over on the other site I saw a way using Stihl trimmer gromets. I got them in stock but havent got around to it.
